These days you can also purchase du packs that come with a pessary and a cream in the same box. Other antifungal creams that can treat yeast infections include: miconazole, mycostatin and nystatin.

There is now an oral tablet that is taken once only as a medication for yeast infection treatment. Fluconazole is the drug name of the medication. It is taken orally once and kills candida that is causing the itching and discomfort. Some women prefer this treatment because they do not want to use messy creams.

Most women will experience a yeast infection at least one time in their lives. Fortunately candida is easy to treat and there are many different kinds of medication for yeast infection treatment.
